Dance, Dance
A while back, I shared a photo of a dress I made (without a pattern...little pat on my own back) Here it is
I posted this to instagram, and to my surprise, I had a lot of great feedback. So much that a friend of mine and owner of Elite Dance Studio, Kate LaPorte, asked me to be the seamstress for the upcoming show. I was thrilled and super excited. It still amazes me what social media can do for businesses. Working advertising I see it everyday, but to really experience it with my hobby that has turned into a little business is pretty cool. This was my first experience working on several pieces, all different sizes. I think they turned out pretty good. The girls sent me this picture from the show.
Kate asked me to work on another show as well, Beauty and the Beast! More to come in the next post.
